To copy an assigned feature or unit

Using the Copy and Paste commands, you can copy an assigned feature or unit to another work location if the action is compatible with the business rules that are enabled. This type of cut-and-paste operation is intended only for individually selected features and units.

To copy all assigned facilities at a work location, see Copying Groups of Assigned Features and Units. For information about the properties of copied items, see Property Inheritance of Moved or Copies Items.

1. In the Design Workspace, select the assigned feature or unit that you want to copy and click the Copy button on the Standard toolbar.

   Or right-click the item and choose Copy from the shortcut menu.

2. Select the target work location or feature where you want to assign the duplicated item and then click the Paste button on the Standard toolbar.

   Or right-click the target item and choose Paste from the shortcut menu.
